Step 1: Create an AMAZING blog chronicling your life as a new mom.
Step 2: Get the word out about your wacky, spit-up filled adventures.
But how…Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? Sure. These are all great platforms, but the majority of my site’s traffic comes from Pinterest. As it should. All the best people are on Pinterest! (PS: Are we Pinterest friends? Let’s make that happen ASAP. Warning: I get a little crazy with the pumpkin spice everything in the fall).
So here’s the thing about blogger success and social media. In order to get the word out about your delicious, easy recipe, your 1 Hour Ikea Latt Table Hack, your top tips for saving money, etc., you need to be present on various social media sites all day long. How does one do this while chasing around a 14 month old who is apparently training for the Olympics 2036?
I have a simple, one-word answer for you: Viraltag. Before discovering this site, I was manually pinning to Pinterest several times a day whenever I had the chance. I know, this sounds crazy. And that’s because it was. I was trying to keep track of which group boards I had already pinned to, being careful not to over-pin to one particular board. I kept saying to myself, there HAS to be an easier way to do this. And there was. So I did some investigating and came across the social media scheduler site, Viraltag.
Here is the best part: if you are a blogger, you can test out the site for FREE for 14 days. After the trial period, you can write an honest review (like this one) on your blog and earn 6 months complimentary access to the site. I’d say that’s a win-win.
So let’s get down to the numbers. Before using Viraltag I honestly did not have many viewers or many repins. As you can see in the screenshot below, after joining some Mom Blogger Group Boards and using the Pinterest scheduler for 14 days, I now have almost 60,000 monthly viewers. This is only after 2 weeks! If you notice the big dips in Impressions and Viewers (on the right and left charts) that’s when I hadn’t been uploading pins to the Viraltag scheduler. So, yeah. It works.
According to their site, with Viraltag you can:
- Save time and schedule your pins in advance.
- Schedule pins from your own website in bulk.
- Find popular images to pin from other Viraltag users.
- Find and schedule pins from anywhere on the web easily.
- Schedule your repins at the best to time for maximum engagement.
- Create original graphics that will go viral on Pinterest.
- Edit your original content to be the best format for Pinterest.
- Measure the ROI of Pinterest with social media and traffic reports.
- Discover the best times to pin to earn the most engagement.
- Manage your Pinterest scheduling along with your other social networks.
Here you can see a sample of what your Dashboard looks like. All of your pins are organized and scheduled at the most popular times.
One of my favorite features is the Bulk Editor which allows you to upload several pins at once.
The intuitive thing about Viraltag is that it’s actually similar to Pinterest. If you already have pins from your blog uploaded to Pinterest, you can schedule them to Viraltag using the browser extension as seen in the screenshot below.
Let’s be honest here. I don’t really need to sell you on this because it pretty much sells itself. This is a must for all bloggers. So what are you waiting for? Click here to get started!
